My journey began with a simple curiosity and a desire to explore the world of development. As a trainee, I was introduced to the intricacies of coding, and with each challenge I encountered, my passion for development grew stronger. During this formative period, I discovered my love for coding and its endless possibilities.

Central to my evolution within the organization were my mentors, Shardul BHATT and Parth Barot. Their belief in my potential propelled me to strive for more, push beyond my limits, and embrace leadership roles confidently. Their guidance shaped my professional journey and instilled a commitment to supporting and mentoring others within the team.

As I progressed in my career, I recognized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving success. Alongside peers like Dipak Rathod and Dharmik Salakiya, we embarked on initiatives to provide comprehensive training to our team, fostering a company culture of continuous learning and growth. Tejal: Being a tech lead has challenges but is also incredibly rewarding. Kindly narrate your experience here.

Jigar: I’ve spent 4 years of my career at Tntra and love many things about my role and the company. Firstly, as a technical lead, I get the chance to support my team members in reaching their goals. I make it a point to understand what each person on my team strives for and how I can help them achieve it through our project work.

The company is supportive, whether it’s work-life balance, professional shift, or something personal. Plus, there’s a strong culture of knowledge-sharing among the team members.

In terms of skills, my role here has helped me grow my technical abilities. Tntra encourages us to stay informed and engaged beyond just our professional expertise.

Tejal: I’m curious about the skills beyond the technical expertise needed for the technical lead role. Could you shed some light on that?

Jigar: As you transition into a Tech Lead position, you’ll find that understanding and supporting your team members become crucial. Additionally, strong planning and facilitation abilities and accountability and delegation skills are vital for success in this role.

Tejal: What advice would you offer to those looking to kickstart their career in software development?

Jigar: Dive in and get some hands-on coding experience. Consider contributing to open-source projects as a way to hone your skills. And most importantly, don’t let any stereotypes about the image of IT deter you. Software development is a highly creative process, with room for everyone to thrive.
